Locally, Miami hotels and also the advertising agencies in Miami are putting their trust in him to get the best images, footage and value for their campaign. Vincent puts together his visual creativity, professional experience
and photographic and filmic knowledge with the latest technology to create outstanding images and motion pieces helping you selling your product. His work can be found in
international travel and editorial publications, advertising and in B2B worldwide.
Although new in Miami, he has wealth of global experience, photographing all over Europe, North America, Australia and China for various corporate and editorial clients.
During his studies at the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts in his native The Netherlands, he enjoyed his internship with well known Dutch food photographer and commercial director Tobias Reymond. Tobias showed Vincent from top to bottom the mechanics of a well ran professional photo & film studio. His second internship he fulfilled in Sydney, Australia, where he worked for several top commercial photographers, like Mark LLewellynn, Nat Geographic’s Paul Nevin, Bruce Allen and Basquali (Brett Cochrane). Most of them he is still in contact with.
After receiving his BFA, Vincent started his career in the studio and after a few years took on indie film making next to the core photography. The start of Maverick Filmwork was a rocky but fun road to discover his love for cinematography. Together with his co-founder and the team, they produced 3 festival shorts. His job as Director of Photography was set. His connection with the Circus Theater in Scheveningen, The Netherlands, brought a lot of dancers, actors and singers to the doorstep of his studio ‘around the corner’. Shooting portraits for casting, wild costume designs for film and catwalk, dance rehearsals and video clips. And of course food and drinks after in his lush home above the studio. One of the best times in his career, meeting a parade of talented, cool, crazy and lovely people!
In the midst of all this, a trip was planned to Cuba. A present form a very dear friend as an incentive to teach him photography during the trip. The trip was beautiful and intense, and is up to this date still the best trip he made, he recently said. During the trip Vincent realized that conveying his knowledge about photography was both fun and necessary. Shortly after returning he started teaching workshops from his studio and continued later in Spain at the Marbella Academy of Design. One-on-one workshops are available upon request as well as internships.
After his move to Spain in 2003, he became a 'location man'. Carefully assembled his gear to travel reasonably light and quick to execute a variety of assignments from interiors, food to portraits while on location. However, he never lost his love for bigger, fully produced, assignments and knows how to seamlessly switch between both....the job has to be done perfect, whatever the size may be.
Vincent photographs all his assignments on the latest digital equipment and having worked with one of the digital pioneers in The Netherlands back in the early nineties, he has been involved in digital capture right from the beginning. His turnaround times from capturing to delivering your images are extremely fast…why? because he can and loves the idea of serving you right on the spot if necessary. He is surrounded be a great team of professionals; from seasoned art directors to video crews and even aerial rig pilots, that will make any job seem like a breeze to you….and that's what he wants. So whatever the job, may be you are in the market for a brochure, website or corporate video….consider the job done
This commercial Miami cinematographer is deeply involved in a personal video documentary project: Think Build Believe. A documentary that chronicles the present and future of technology, education and human innovation. Currently the team is looking for funding.
Recently he directed and filmed for the artist Siri a commercial to promote her latest beautiful necklace
He loves shooting in Miami. The backdrops are stunning. sand is beautiful and the sea crystal clear, with that mesmerizing turquoise. Tropical palm trees and air root trees allover and dense jungle foliage if you need it. Any thinkable type of architecture you need for photography from the Miami Beach art deco district to Miami's gleaming modern skyline is readily available. Plenty of gritty urban locations too. Locally serving Miami Metro -the 4 counties, Miami Dade, Monroe, Broward and Palm Beach - from the Keys to West Palm Beach brings all the flavors of the world. Miami has such a diversity in nations and subsequently food and traditions it has to be the biggest melting pot after New York…..at least it stays warm year round, he laughs. Nothing beats a Mojito on one of the terraces in Mary Brickell Village or eating Tamales and Tacos at the local market, Chilling on the beaches of Key Biscayne or going easy in the Keys. What about a day of Everglades right in the heart of the Indian Nation Territories, checking out birds, snakes and alligators. Life and work is good down south
